Activate Mozilla Campaign @AIUB

On 22nd October, 2016  Firefox at AIUB organized an event ‘Activate Mozilla Campaign @AIUB’ in  Galesia Hotel & Resort ltd.

The main part of the event was discussing about ‘Web Compatibility’ and ‘Test Pilot’.On that event 48 participants were present to know about Web Compatibility and Test Pilot.Most of the participants brought Laptop.

In the very beginning,Meraj Kazi(core contributor of Mozilla Community) introduced the participants about Web Compatibility.Then Salman Rahman Desh described about Web Compatibility and Test Pilot in details and talked about Activity Stream,Min Vid, No more 404s.He also showed a video related with Test Pilot.After his speech  Khalid Syfullah(Club Lead of  Firefox at AIUB)showed that how can easily report against a web page if that does not work properly and he also talked about Page shot and  Tracking Protection which are included in Test Pilot features then he showed how to install these Add-ons and he also showed how to use them.

After taking a short break workshop started. All participants downloaded the Add-ons. Mentors were available to help them.All the participants were seems to be very excited when they used those text pilot features.

At that time Swags were distributed among the participants.

After the workshop session four active members of  Firefox at AIUB Zayed News,Raisa Haque,Tasmia Eva and Sauradeep Dutta shared their experiences related with Mozilla Community and they also talked about MozGirls, Tech Speakers, l10n and Mozilla QA.

Before end of the event Saif Islam( participant) gave a surprise.He sang songs with guitar.That was an amazing surprise for all of us.

After  that we all MozGirls captured some beautiful moment.

From the event now we can say that we all have learnt many things about web compatibility and text pilot. it was a very helpful event and the new features of text pilot is really amazing.

All the participants were very happy after the event.

MozCoffee At AIUB 2k16

On 4th october  Firefox at AIUB met with 15 new members in Galesia Hotel & Resort ltd.Basically the program ‘MozCoffee At AIUB 2k16’ was organized to welcome the new faces and get them familiarized with Mozilla Community.

In the very beginning,Asif Raihan briefed us about the mission,vision and purpose of Mozilla Clubs and he also inspired the MozGirls.After that he called me to share my experiences about MozGirls event.Then I(Shanjida Himi) brief my experiences about MozGirls event where I participated a few days ago.After that Md. Nazmus Shakib  talked about AoA(Army of Awesome) and QA and shared his experiences as a contributor at mozilla Community.Then Mahbub Alam Papun talked about SuMo (Support Mozilla).After that Md. Anisur Rahman talked about Connected Devices.Then Salman Rahman Desh talked about Tech Speaker Program and shared his feelings and experiences from the Tech Speakers meet up event which was  held in Berlin Germany.At last Khalid Syfullah talked about localization (l10n). Recently he attended in l10n hackathon which was held in Delhi India. He shared his experiences from that event.

 

After that the new Functional Team of Firefox at AIUB was announced and then Swags were distributed among the participants.

 

The event was very helpfull for all the participants and it was a successful event although.
